Here is a sample of what will you get: Pronunciation rules, adapted to the Latin American culture.

A- Like "a" in the word father: padre, sala.

B- Like "b" in boy: bastante, hombre.

C- Before "a", "o" and "u", or a consonant; like "c" in cat: cama, como, cuna, claro, creo. C- Before "e" and "i"; in Latin America; like "c" in city: cena, cine.)

CH- Like "ch" in child: chico, mucho, muchacha.

D- Like "d" in day: día, verdad, nada. D- At the end of a word, like a soft " t ".

E- Like "e" in they: mesa, leche.

F- Like "f" in fine: final, felíz.

G- Before "a", "o" and "u", or a consonant; like "g" in goal: gato, gota, gusto, gloria. Also in the syllables "gue" and "gui" (the "u" is not sounded, unless it has a dieresis [ü]): Guevara, guitarra. ( "Güe" and "güi", one must pronounce the "U": vergüenza, pingüino). G- Before "e" and "i", like "h" in horse: gemelo, gitano.

H- Is always silente: hoy, hay, ahí.

I- Like "ee" in feel: vida, silla.

J- Like "h" -in here: Jaime, jeringa, jirafa, José, jugo.

K- Like the English "k": kilo.

L- Like the English "l": loco, lápiz.

Ll- Like "y" in beyond: calle, pollo.

M- Like the English "m": madre, memoria.

N- Like the English "n" : no, nada.

Ñ- Like "n" in the word onion, canyon: niño, mañana.

O- Like "o" in boy: soy, no.

P- Like the English "p": padre, papa.

Q- Like "k", but found only in the syllables "que" and "qui" (the "U" is not sounded): queso; aquí

R- Lightly trilled with the tip of the tonge: pero; caro. R- When initial, or after "l", "n" or "s", it is strongly trilled, as well as "rr": rosa; rana; alrededor; Enrique; Israel; carro; perro.

S- Like "s" in English: suma; casa; desde.

T- Like "t" in the word towel: tomate; tú.

U- Like "oo" in the word food: uno; luna.

V- Like "v" in the word village: vida; levantarse.

W- Like "w" in English: William; Washington.

X- Like "x" in the word taxi: excursión.

Y- At the beginning, or within a word, like "y" in the word yes: yo; ayer. Y- When standing alone, or at the end of a word, like "ee" in the word feel: Juan y María; hoy.

Z- In Latin America, like "c" in the word city: zapato; azul.
